PERFECT PROTEIN PANCAKES

 

 

 

As tomorrow is Pancake Tuesday we’re going to let you in on our recipie for perfect protein pancakes

 

 

 

Ingredients (pancakes – Serves one)

 

45g Oats

 

1 banana

 

1 Egg

 

50ml Milk

 

1 scoop protein powder

 

 

 

Toppings

 

Some of our favourites..

 

Greek Yoghurt

 

Berries

 

Peanut Butter

 

Zero Calorie Chocolate Syrup

 

Bacon

 

Maple Syrup

 

 

 

.. but your options for toppings are limitless!

 

 

 

Method

 

1.       Mix all of your pancake ingredients together in a blender to make a batter

 

2.       Heat a pan with a splash of olive oil to a medium heat and pour in batter – I usually have two pans on the go!

 

3.       OPTIONAL – if you’d like to add chocolate chips or blueberries, place them on your batter now

 

4.       You’ll know it’s time to flip the pancake when you see bubbles rising to the surface

 

5.       Flip, cook through and place under a very low heated grill until ready to serve

 

6.       The fun part – add your toppings of choice and enjoy 

 

 

 

*TIP* Keeping the pan heat consistent is the best way to ensure your whole batch is cooked perfectly.  Reduce heat when the pan gets too hot and use a lid of a saucepan over your pancake to contain heat when it gets cooler – try to maintain a constant temperature throughout the batch
